Let me start by saying that I don't pay much attention to local or national broadcasts of the "Big Three" network news outlets. My opinions on bias reporting are from radio and alternative media sources news clips and sound bytes. I am an Independent voter just telling it as I see it.
Earlier this month (1/1) I had to laugh as that's about all it is, laughable. In case you haven't heard, a new Democratic Congress took over this month and most of the media couldn't be happier. We had Charles Gibson reporting on how Nancy Pelosi was an "ultimate example of multitasking". What? He saw it as a symbolic way of taking care of the county and the children as she stood on the House floor giving direction while holding her grandchild. You would think such an important member of the media like Charles Gibson would have seen a politician kiss a baby before. But nope, big news for this dope. I saw it as her shamelessly holding and using her grandchild as a political pawn while mugging for the cameras.
How about Catie Couric proclaiming, while reporting on Nancy Pelosi and the new Democratic majority, " we wanted change and now we have it". Humm … WE? Sounds like a self indictment of bias reporting to me. Sounded to me like, Yippee! We told foolish Americans and "undocumented guests" to vote for the Democrats, no matter of stance or qualification, and they did. We did it!"
And Cindy Sheehan. She seems to be getting a lot less media attention now that she is giving the Democrats grief. When she was the old poster mom of America and the liberal media agenda the cameras followed her every step. Not this week when she shouted down Rahm Emanuel, at a speaking event, with anti-war chants. Step aside Cindy. You have no value to them now. You are now just another angry American that is disrupting the happy Whos of Whoville. The Dems and media have a new poster mom in Nancy Pelosi.
Michael Medved reminded me last week about how when Newt Gingrich took over as Speaker Of The House the media called him "The Newt Gingrinch That Stole Christmas". Well the way the Democrats were celebrating on that night in November it reminded me of the Whos in Whoville on Christmas morning. So giddy and happy with themselves. Holding hands and rejoicing. I saw it as disturbingly creepy, and since has become even more bizarre. I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't see it for myself right there on TV.
